Ham Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche
This easy quiche recipe gives you perfectly golden brown crust with a creamy, custard filling, packed with ham, broccoli, and cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 (9-inch) pie crust homemade or store bought, unbaked
- 4 large egg
- 1 cup milk whole or 2%
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup cheddar cheese medium or sharp, shredded
- 1/2 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup ham diced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the pie crust into a 12-inch circle and place it into a 9-inch pie plate. Crimp or pinch the edges as desired. Use a fork to prick holes in the bottom of the crust. Place a sheet of parchment paper inside the crust and fill with pie weights or dried beans. This will prevent the pie crust from sliding or bubbling
- Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together 4 large eggs, 1 cup milk, 1 cup heavy cream, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper until smooth. Stir in 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
- Sprinkle the 1/2 cup broccoli florets and 1/2 cup diced ham evenly over the bottom of the par-baked crust. Pour the egg mixture on top.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40–45 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
