Ham Salad Recipe
A classic Ham Salad recipe my 90+ year old grandmother has been making her whole life. Ham, pickles, onion, celery and mayo create the best sandwich.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ham thick sliced or large chunks of leftover ham
- 1/2 cup celery finely diced
- 1/2 cup dill pickles finely diced
- 1/4 cup yellow onion finely diced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise real
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place ham in food processor and pulse until finely minced. Don't let it go so long that it starts to get pasty.
- Transfer to a large bowl and add remaining ingredients, stirring until well combined.
- Serve on bread as a sandwich or with crackers.
Notes
- *taste before seasoning as ham can tend to be quite salty already.
