Ham Steaks with Pineapple

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds ham steaks
  • 20 oz pineapple rings
  • 2 Tablespoons juice from pineapple rings
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar packed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Cut each ham steak in half. Place on the lined baking sheet.
  3. In a small mixing bowl whisk the pineapple juice, mustard, and brown sugar.
  4. Drizzle over ham steak and top with pineapple slices.
  5. Place in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until ham steaks are warmed and glaze is browned.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Storage 
  • FRIDGE: Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • FREEZER: Wrap each ham steak in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and place in a freezer bag or airtight container. You can freeze them this way for up to 3 months.
  • REHEAT: To reheat, place on a lined baking sheet and bake at 375 until warm.
  • Can I Use Something Other Than Brown Sugar For The Glaze?Yes! Honey or maple syrup work as a great alternative to a brown sugar glaze.
  • Can I Use Regular Ham Instead Of Ham Steaks?Absolutely! If you can’t find ham steaks or prefer regular ham, just slice a ham into really thick slices and follow the recipe. Note that the bake time may be different, so watch closely as it cooks!
