Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 ½ teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Whisk all ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Use 2 teaspoons per pound of beef (or to taste) for making hamburgers plus additional to season during cooking.

Notes

  • This mixture can be mixed into the beef before forming patties or sprinkled on top before cooking (or both!).
  • It can be used on fresh or frozen burgers.
  • Add additional spices and herbs to your liking. Try cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, or add a little dried oregano or parsley.
  • Kosher salt has larger grains and is great in this recipe although it has larger grains. We find that table salt blends a bit better with the other seasonings. Flavored or smoked salts can also be used.
  • This makes approximately 3 tablespoons. Store up to 6 months in a dry cool place.
