Hashbrown Casserole with Cornflakes

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 8 ounces butter melted, divided use
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cornflakes
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the hashbrowns, onions, sour cream, condensed soup, 4 ounces of melted butter, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spoon the mixture into a 9x13x2-inch baking dish. Top with cornflakes, drizzle with 4 ounces of melted butter, and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
  4. Remove the casserole from the oven and garnish with chopped chives.
