Notes
- Pick sweet potatoes that are long in shape to make for the hasselback shape, avoid rounded ones.
- Any type of sweet potatoes would work for this recipe!
- Use chopsticks to guide you as you slice the sweet potatoes. Make sure to place them on the cutting surface and secure the sweet potato comfortably over them.
- A sharp knife is your best friend here.
- For variety we've made a sweet and savory version, however you can make just one.
- Add your favorite ingredients to the mix like green onions, feta, olives or anything you prefer.
- To make them in the oven, follow the exact same steps, and place the foil wrapped potatoes on a baking dish. Roast at 425 degrees F, turning the potatoes halfway for 40-50 minutes until tender.
- You can prepare the recipe and bake, then store it in the fridge (wrapped in the same foil) for 5 days. When ready to serve, simply reheat it in a 350 degrees F oven for 15 minutes. Alternatively reheat it in the air fryer for 8-9 minutes.
