Healthy Copycat Panera Turkey Chili
Recreate the beloved Panera Bread's Turkey Chili with ease at home. Simmer lean ground turkey with hearty vegetables, beans, and a medley of spices for a comforting, flavorful bowl. This protein-rich chili is sure to win over everyone's taste buds.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- 1 cup carrot chopped
- 1 15 oz red kidney beans drained and rinsed, can
- 1 15 oz garbanzo beans drained and rinsed, canned
- 1 cup edamame
- 1 ROTEL original, canned
- 4 cups turkey broth
- 1 cup tomatillo chopped
- ½ cup corn
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- ½ cup tomato paste 2 tablespoons
- ½ tablespoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- seasoning salt to taste
Instructions
- Add oil to a dutch oven. Heat over medium-high heat on the stove top.
- Add ground turkey, onion, and garlic to the preheated dutch oven. Cook for around 15 minutes stirring frequently and breaking apart the ground turkey until the turkey has browned and is fully cooked.
- Add remaining ingredients and stir well. Increase the heat to medium high to bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low-medium heat and simmer covered for 30 minutes. Once done remove from heat and serve immediately.
