Craving a chocolate milkshake but want to keep it healthy? Say no more, fam. And with just 4 ingredients, it's a guaranteed winner!

Ingredients

  • 1 handful spinach
  • ½ cup milk 240 mL
  • 1 banana previously chopped and frozen
  • 1 Tbsp Nutella 10 g

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Blend spinach and milk until smooth, then add the rest of the ingredients and continue blending.

Notes

  • Variations:
  • Use Kale: Substitute the spinach for fresh kale (it may need to be blended longer as kale has a tougher texture than spinach.
  • No Banana: You can replace the banana with 1/4 cup of coconut milk (even better if you freeze the milk into ice cubes beforehand!).
  • Dairy-Free: To make it dairy-free, use plant-based milk and substitute classic Nutella for homemade vegan Nutella (or almond butter and unsweetened cocoa powder).
  • Make Popsicles: This smoothie makes great popsicles! Just pour the mixture into popsicle molds and freeze for 4-6 hours (the recipe is in my book For the Love of Popsicles).
