Healthy Paleo Candied Pecans

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecans
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla. Whisk well.
  3. Place the pecans in a separate large bowl.
  4. Pour the maple syrup mixture over the pecans and toss to coat.
  5. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spread the pecans on the tray until they are all laying flat.
  6. Bake for 6 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven, stir the pecans (making sure they are laying flat again) and bake for 2-3 more minutes.
  8. Allow to cool on the pan for 30 minutes and the coating will harden to a perfectly sweet and crunchy exterior!
