- 1½ cups whole wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cup milk or buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 eggs
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Whisk in buttermilk, honey, applesauce, and eggs just until combined.
- Preheat a flat griddle over medium-high heat.
- Scoop ¼ cup of pancake batter onto griddle. Let pancakes cook until bubbles form before flipping.
- Cook other side until golden brown. Serve hot.
