Heart Pastry Puff

Ingredients

  • 156 g puff pastry sheet pre-rolled, 1 sheet
  • 125 g cream heavy cream, ½ cup
  • 5 strawberries fresh
  • 1 egg whole
  • 2 teaspoon powdered sugar

Instructions

Prepare heart puffs
    Cup of Yum
  1. Thaw a pastry sheet for 5 minutes or as per the package instructions.
  2. Transfer it to a lined tray and cut it into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  3. Apply a beaten egg on them with the help of a silicone brush.
  4. Bake these hearts in a preheated oven at 160°C for 8-10 minutes or when they turn lightly golden brown.
  5. Cool completely (important step).
Cream preparation
  1. To a mixing bowl, add powdered sugar and chilled heavy/thickened cream and whisk until stiff peaks.
Assembly
  1. Apply freshly whipped cream on the top of the heart using a spoon.
  2. Place a fresh strawberry cut into half on the top and slightly press it down to fix it.
  3. Chill it for 5-10 minutes before serving!
  4. Heart Pastry puffs are ready to serve!!
