Heirloom Tomato Caprese Salad

Garden heirloom tomatoes layered with fresh mozzarella cheese, extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil and balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 Heirloom Tomatoes or Grape tomatoes
  • 16 ounces fresh mozzarella sliced
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoons balsamic glaze or balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 basil leaves cut into ribbons

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Cut heirloom tomatoes into thick slices.
  2. Layer with fresh mozzarella slices.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze or vinegar.
  4. Generously sprinkle with salt.
  5. Top with basil leaves.
