Ingredients

  • 4 tomato very thinly sliced into rounds, ripe, heirloom
  • 1-2 balls burrata cheese
  • 1 handful basil leaves small
  • 1 handful dill
  • 1 handful green onions sliced
For the Dressing
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 shallot finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon oregano dried
  • salt to taste, kosher salt and freshly cracked
  • black pepper to taste, kosher salt and freshly cracked

Instructions

  1. Arrange the sliced tomatoes on a platter. Tear the burrata into pieces and arrange on the tomatoes or tucked in. Scatter with the herbs. Drizzle with the vinaigrette as needed. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Select heirloom tomatoes that are firm and aromatic for the best flavor and texture.
  • Don't hesitate to use tomatoes of unusual colors like reddish brown or green for more variety and taste.
