Hemingway Daiquiri

Adapted from Drinking FrenchMaraschino is a clear liqueur, lightly sweetened, whose role is to temper the acidity of the citrus juices a bit. Kirsch with a little sugar syrup (made with equal parts sugar and water) would work in its place.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces white rum
  • 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 ounce maraschino liqueur
  • Lime wheel

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Add the rum, lime and grapefruits juices, and maraschino to a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake until well-chilled, about 15 seconds.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
