Ingredients

  • 2 unsalted butter sticks, softened
  • 1 garlic finely minced clove
  • ¼ cup parsley chopped
  • 3 tablespoons chives chopped
  • 1 ½ tablespoons thyme chopped
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Add the butter to a stand mixer with the paddle attachment and mix on high speed for 5-7 minutes or until it’s light and fluffy.
  2. Next, add in the garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper and mix on low speed for 1-2 minutes or until it is completely mixed in.
  3. Serve.

Notes

  • This compound butter can be made several days in advance and kept refrigerated or frozen for longer storage.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator up to 7 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months to maintain freshness.
  • Use unsalted butter as the base to better control salt levels in the finished product.
  • You can add the butter directly from frozen while cooking to add flavor and moisture.
