Herb & Garlic Marinated Olives
This recipe produces marinated olives soaked in olive oil infused with garlic, fresh thyme, oregano, and a pinch of red pepper flakes. The olives become flavored with the herbs and mild heat from the pepper flakes over 1 to 3 days in the refrigerator, creating a savory, aromatic snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 12 oz olive mix of colors and varieties, pitted
- ½ cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 3 1- inch thyme pieces of fresh sprigs
- 2 1- inch oregano pieces of fresh sprigs
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes crushed
Instructions
- Drain olives and rinse thoroughly in a colander. Place rinsed olives in a large bowl. Add olive oil, garlic, thyme, oregano and red pepper flakes to the bowl. Stir to combine and cover with a lid or plastic wrap. Refrigerate olive mixture for 1 to 3 days before eating.
