Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 large egg , room temperature
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup canola oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x5 loaf pan with baking spray.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and thyme.
  3. Add in the egg, milk and canola oil and whisk to combine.
  4. Pour the batter into the loaf pan.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top of the bread lightly springs back when pressed.
  6. Cool in pan for 15 minutes before removing from loaf pan.
