Homemade BBQ Sauce

Easy homemade BBQ sauce that you can easily adjust to your own liking! Add more sugar for a sweeter taste, or more vinegar for tart, the choice is up to you!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups ketchup
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine all ingredients together in a medium heavy bottomed sauce pan.
  2. Bring to a low simmer over medium heat.
  3. Cook until thickened, then cool a portion and taste test. Add any ingredients to taste at this point if needed, then cook another 3-4 minutes to let the flavors blend.
  4. Remove from the heat and let cool.
