Homemade Bisquick Mix Recipe

Craving biscuits and out of store bought mix? Make this easy Homemade Bisquick Mix as a substitute for quick biscuits, pancakes, cinnamon rolls and casseroles.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup shortening

Instructions

  1. Place the flour, baking powder, salt and shortening in a bowl.
  2. Use a pastry cutter or two forks to cut the ingredients together.
  3. Sift through the mix with your clean hands. to make sure it is all mixed well and there are no large chunks of shortening.
  4. Store your mix in an airtight container at room temperature.
  5. Use this dry mix in place of bisquick in equal amounts.
