Homemade Bourbon Sauce Recipe
This buttery bourbon sauce packs a sweet kick with hints of vanilla and brown sugar. It’s the perfect finishing touch for anything from meats and seafood to vegetables, bread pudding, and even ice cream.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon bourbon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Add butter and brown sugar to a small saucepan and place over a medium-low heat setting. Stir constantly until the mixture melts and combines.
- Add in the bourbon and let it boil for a minute to allow the alcohol to evaporate.
- Stir in the honey and vanilla until combined. (The consistency should be similar to that of maple syrup at this stage.)
- Remove pot from heat when the mixture reaches desired consistency and allow to cool slightly.
