Homemade Cajun Seasoning

Cajun seasoning is a flavorful blend of spices used to add a zesty and slightly spicy taste to dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 ½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper add more if you like more heat
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Store in an airtight container up to 6 months.

Notes

  • I prefer a finer table salt in this recipe as I find coarse salt or kosher salt doesn't blend as evenly.
  • Store Cajun spice in a sealed container for up to 6 months.
