Homemade Cajun Seasoning for Shrimp & Veggies
Make this versatile homemade cajun seasoning to use on shrimp, veggies, and more! It's easy to mix up a batch in less than 5-minutes. Keep this spice blend on hand to use whenever you need a cajun flavor boost!
Ingredients
- 3 Tablespoons paprika
- 1 Tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 Tablespoon onion powder
- ½ Tablespoon cayenne pepper
- ½ Tablespoon black pepper freshly ground
- ½ Tablespoon thyme dried
- ½ Tablespoon oregano dried
- 2 Tablespoons kosher salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, add all of the ingredients and whisk or stir until completely incorporated together. Or, shake them together in a jar.
- Store in an airtight container in a dark cupboard for up to six months. Use with shrimp, roasted veggies, in soups, stews, and more!
Notes
- Yield: this recipe makes approximately 1/2 cup of seasoning.
- Black Pepper: substitute half with white pepper for an added funk of flavor!
