Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 loaf bread about 12 ounces) cut into 3/4-inch cubes, crusty
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt fine sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, drizzle the olive oil over the bread cubes. Sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss gently with your hands until well combined.
  3. Spread the bread cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, tossing halfway through, until the croutons are golden brown and crispy. Watch closely to avoid burning.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
