Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tablespoon granulated garlic or powder
  • 2 ½ tablespoons granulated onion or powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill weed
  • 1 tablespoon dried chives
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1 ½ teaspoon cream of tartar

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix well, or into a jar and shake until combined.
  2. To make a fine powder mixture like store-bought ranch packets, blend the mix in a spice grinder or blender for a few seconds.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of salt, pepper and everything else to taste. If you don't like dill, or think it's too much garlic, feel free to reduce or leave it out.
  • If you use very finely powdered garlic and/or onion instead of granulated, reduce the amounts by 1/2 tablespoon. If using minced or flakes, you can increase the amount by 1/2 tablespoon.
  • This recipe makes 1/2 cup or 4 ounces of ranch seasoning.
  • To substitute ranch packets: Each ranch packet called for in recipes contains 1 ounce (2 tablespoons). To substitute 1 packet of ranch mix, use 2 tablespoons of this ranch seasoning mix.
  • To make dressing: Combine 2 tablespoons of ranch mix with 1/2 cup keto mayonnaise and 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt, plus 1/4 cup of low-carb milk or water (adjust the quantity of liquid to make the salad dressing as thick or creamy as you like). To make it more tangy and fresh, add 1/2 tablespoon of lemon juice. Chill for 30 minutes before using.
  • To make dip: Combine 2 tablespoons of ranch mix with 1 cup of Greek yogurt or sour cream and mix. Add low-carb milk or water as needed to make the consistency thinner as you like. Chill for 30 minutes before using.
  • Store the dry ranch seasoning in an airtight container for up to 1 year (this recipe is without buttermilk powder, so there's no need to refrigerate). After mixed, dressings and dips made with it should be kept refrigerated for up to 3 days.
