Ingredients
- 16 oz heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 8 oz Parmesan Cheese grated
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic optional
Instructions
- In a heavy bottomed skillet, heat the heavy cream and butter over medium low heat until the butter is melted.
- Add the freshly grated parmesan cheese to the sauce a few tablespoons at a time, stirring well between each addition so that the cheese melts evenly. Be careful not to add the cheese too quickly to ensure that it fully melts.
- When all of the cheese has been added and is melted, stir in the pepper and garlic, stirring over low heat for 1 minute.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and serve immediately over your favorite pasta.
