Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons horseradish cream style
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • 1 scallion sliced very thin
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the sour cream, horseradish, scallion and in a small bowl.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • You can enjoy the homemade horseradish cream sauce immediately, but letting it rest will enrich the flavor, and the scallion will settle beautifully with the sauce.
  • Store: This horseradish cream sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for two weeks.
  • You can also add any of the following: dry mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar.
  • Mayonnaise and creme fraiche can be used as well. Whichever combination you choose to go, make sure they add to a 3/4 of a cup.
