Homemade Lemonade for Two

This Homemade Lemonade for Two balances fresh lemon juice with a simple syrup, resulting in a bright, sweet citrus drink intended to be poured over plenty of ice. The syrup is prepared by dissolving sugar in water, then mixed with fresh lemon juice and additional water to adjust sweetness. Mint leaves can be added for a refreshing garnish. This recipe makes a concentrated lemonade base that is sweeter than typical, encouraging dilution with ice and extra water to suit your taste.
