Homemade marinara sauce

Homemade marinara sauce recipe is so flavorful and very simple to make. Enjoy with any pasta dish or for dipping your favorite breadsticks.

Ingredients

  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tsp minced garlic 
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp olive oil

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Heat the olive oil in a sauce pan of medium high heat. Add in the minced garlic and sauté for a few minutes to cook the garlic.
  2. Stir in the other ingredients. Bring the mixture to a boil, cover and reduce heat to low.
  3. Simmer covered for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Serve over your favorite type of pasta and enjoy!
