Homemade Panko

Homemade Panko uses simple white bread, optionally flavored with herbs, to create light, coarse bread crumbs. These crumbs are dried in the oven to achieve the signature crunchy texture of panko, making it a great coating for frying or baking dishes. The process removes moisture gradually, resulting in crumbs that hold their crispness well during cooking. Storing them properly ensures a supply of crispy breadcrumbs for up to three months.
