Homemade Pesto Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups basil leaves should be firmly packed in measuring cup
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • ¼ cup pine nuts
  • ⅔ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt or more to taste
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ Parmesan Cheese grated

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. add basil, garlic and pine nuts to a food processor and blend until roughly chopped
  2. add in 1/2 tsp of salt, the pepper and 1/2 cup of the olive oil and process again
  3. slowly drizzle in the remaining oil
  4. pulse in the cheese then taste for salt and pepper, adding more if it needs it.
  5. store in an air tight container in the fridge
