Homemade Pizza Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic 
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 Roma tomato lightly blended
  • 2 teaspoons basil
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until golden brown and fragrant.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients except the salt and pepper. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

  • Add a bit of spice with red pepper flakes.
  • Make ahead and store in the fridge in an airtight container. 
  • Use fresh herbs for even more flavor!
