Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Warm fall spices with real pumpkin made into a pumpkin spice syrup for beverages and flavoring your favorite belly warming foods.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ cup water
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 4 Tbsp pumpkin puree

Instructions

  1. Place water and sweetener in a small saucepan, and bring to a simmer over medium-high. Stir until the sweetener dissolves completely.
  2. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, ginger, nutmeg and pumpkin puree. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
  3. Strain over a small sieve or cheesecloth into a clean jar.

Notes

  • Instead of the individual spices you can add 1 tablespoon of pumpkin spice blend.
