Homemade Ranch Dressing

This creamy homemade ranch dressing is so delicious and easy to customize to your own liking that you'll never buy store bought again!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk plus more to thin out the dressing if needed
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 2 teaspoons dried chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce  to taste
  • 1-2 teaspoons lemon juice to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, 1/2 cup of buttermilk and the seasonings. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add in the salt, pepper, and lemon juice to taste.
  3. If needed, add more buttermilk until you reach your desired consistency.
  4. Place in a lidded jar and refrigerate until needed. This is best if it can sit in the fridge for a few hours to allow the flavors to meld together.

Notes

  • Like all salad dressings, use this recipe as a guideline and then add more or less seasonings to your taste. I like mine a little heavier on the dill, of course!
