Homemade Ranch Dressing Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3 Tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice or white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Combine all dressing ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk well until smooth and combined. Transfer to a jar with an airtight lid and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving so the flavors have a chance to meld. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed before serving.

Notes

  • Dried herbs: Use 1/2 teaspoon dried chives, 2 teaspoons dried parsley, 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • Storage: Keep any unused ranch dressing refrigerated in an airtight container for 1 to 2 weeks.
