Homemade Ranch Seasoning (All Natural)

This easy homemade ranch seasoning mix is all natural and the perfect addition to recipes that call for ranch seasoning! Much better than store-bought packets.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pure buttermilk powder
  • 3 TB dried chives
  • 3 ½ TB dried dill
  • 4 tsp dried minced onion
  • 4 tsp kosher salt not table salt
  • 3 tsp pure garlic powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a bowl and whisk to combine well.
  2. Transfer to a jar with a lid and store in the fridge. Seasoning will keep for months in an airtight container, either in the fridge or freezer.

  • 3 TB of this seasoning is the equivalent of 1 oz packet of store bought ranch seasoning.
  • For Ranch Dressing: Combine 3 TB of this seasoning mix with 1 cup real mayo. Add liquid buttermilk (up to 1 cup) until the desired consistency is reached. Keep chilled.
  • Use pure buttermilk powder for the best flavor and texture. This is the base of your ranch seasoning and will give it that authentic buttermilk tang.
  • Transfer your completed seasoning mix to a jar with a tight-fitting lid. This will keep it fresh and prevent any clumping.
