Homemade Shawarma Spice Blend

This shawarma seasoning brings some of the most delicious traditional shawarma flavors right to your dinner table.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp Coriander
  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cardamom
  • ½ tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Mix all the spices in a bowl until well-combined.
  2. Store in a glass jar and place it in a dark and draft free space such as a spice drawer or cupboard.
  3. If stored properly, this shawarma spice blend stays fresh for up to 6 months.

Notes

  • You can adjust the spices to your liking and even add some cayenne pepper if you like your shawarma spicy. 
  • In addition to using this spice blend for shawarma marinades, you can also use it to season roasted vegetables or as a seasoning for other grilled meats and even burgers.
