Ingredients
- 4 tablespoon unsalted butter
- ½ cup onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 3 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoon bourbon optional
- 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice fresh
- 2 prigs rosemary fresh
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the tomato paste, Dijon, Worcestershire sauce, Bourbon, vinegar, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Stir until completely combined.
- Add the fresh rosemary and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a small bowl. Press the back of a wooden spoon or spatula onto the mixture to help the liquid completely pass through, leaving behind the solids.
- Serve at once, or transfer to an air-tight container with lid and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes
- This recipe can easily be doubled, tripled, or quadrupled to serve more people. The quantities for this recipe will serve 4 to 6 people for one meal.
- The alcohol in the Bourbon will cook out by about 99%. If you prefer no alcohol at all, simply omit the Bourbon in the recipe.
- The steak sauce keeps in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and freezes for up to 2 months.
