Skip the packet and make this easy homemade taco seasoning blend instead! It's a fantastic way to add flavor to tacos, fajitas, taco soups and chilis and so much more!
Ingredients
- 3 TBSP chili powder
- 2 TBSP cumin ground
- 1 TBSP paprika
- 1 TBSP garlic powder
- 1 TBSP salt
- 2 tsp oregano dried
- 1 tsp ground cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Measure out spices into a small bowl and mix well.
- Add to a spice jar or a small lidded mason jar and label.
- Use in all your favorite taco night recipes for a boost of flavor!
Notes
- Prefer a salt-free blend? Simply leave it out and you're good to go!
- In place of plain black pepper, I like to use cayenne. Since this spice is made from hot chili peppers, it will add a spicy and flavorful heat to your taco blend. You can absolutely add extra if desired. For a mild taco seasoning blend, simply use 1-2 teaspoons of regular black pepper instead.
- Recipe yields 9 Tablespoon "servings" of taco seasoning blend to fill a 4 ounce spice jar. Feel free to make more if you need it! Nutrition Facts below are estimated per TBSP using an online recipe nutrition calculator. Adjust as needed and enjoy!
