Homemade Teriyaki Sauce
Simple sweet and savory homemade teriyaki sauce is a flavorful marinade for any protein. Add to a stir-fry packed with veggies for the finishing sauce!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup soy sauce low-sodium
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons sriracha hot sauce
- 2 cloves garlic minced, fresh
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and whisk until the sugar is dissolved. Use as a marinade, glaze or pour over cooked meat and vegetables. To thicken up the sauce mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water. Whisk into sauce. Heat for about 3 minutes to thicken.
