Honey Balsamic Glazed Salmon

A delicious honey balsamic glaze that makes this salmon incredible!

Ingredients

  • 4 (5-ounce) salmon fillets
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves minced garlic 
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ⅓ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano, for garnish

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenhet. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add 1 teaspoon olive oil and 2 cloves minced garlic. Cook the garlic until tender, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon honey, ⅓ cup balsamic vinegar, 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard, and salt and pepper to taste
  4. Simmer the glaze for about 3 minutes until it starts to thicken then remove it from the heat.
  5. Place the 4 (5-ounce) salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the salmon with the balsamic glaze but reserve half of the glaze for brushing on at the end.
  6. Bake for about 6-10 minutes until the flesh turns opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Brush the fillets with the remaining glaze and serve. Garnish with 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano, if desired.
