Honey Chipotle Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 2-3 chipotle peppers (in adobo sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor combine the ketchup, chipotle peppers, cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, salt, garlic powder, cumin, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.
  2. The sauce is ready to use for basting meat. You can also add the sauce to a saucepan over medium heat. Heat through until warm and serve as a dipping sauce for chicken, ribs, or pork!
