Ingredients
Homemade Lemonade:
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups fresh lemon juice (from about 5 lemons)
Single Cocktail:
- 3 ounces lemonade
- 1 1/2 ounces vodka (I used Grey Goose)
- 1/2 ounce raspberry liqueur (I used Chambord)
- ice (I used crushed ice)
- honeydew melon balls
Batch Cocktail (Serves 6):
- 16 ounces lemonade
- 9 ounces vodka
- 3 ounces raspberry liqueur
- ice only to serve.
- honeydew melon balls chilled for garnish
Instructions
To Make the Lemonade:
- In a small pot, set over medium low heat, combine the sugar and water. Heat until the sugar dissolves and pour it into a container to cool. When cooled, add in the fresh lemon juice. This will be our simple syrup base for our cocktails.

To Make a Single Cocktail:
- To a shaker, add in the vodka, three ounces of simple syrup lemonade, raspberry liqueur and ice. Shake vigorously. Add glass to a glass and pour the cocktail over it. Garnish with a skewer of honeydew melon balls.
To Make this Batch Cocktail:
- To a pitcher, pour in the vodka, lemonade, raspberry liqueur. Stir and transfer to the fridge to chill. When you’re ready to serve, either add ice to the pitcher or serve it on the side for people to add themselves.

- Tips and Tricks:
- Tips and Tricks:
- Single Serve vs. Batch Cocktail. I included amounts and instructions for both. If I was just having two cocktails, I'd use the shaker. If I was inviting people over, I would definitely prep the batch cocktail for ease.
- Use store-bought lemonade. If you want to skip the step of making homemade lemonade, use store-bought. For this recipe, I like the brand Santa Cruz's lemonade; it tends to be less sweet.
- Top with Sparkling Water to make it even more refreshing. I loved this cocktail with a splash of sparkling water on top. This is not traditional but I think a delicious addition!
