Ingredients
- 1 lb green beans (trimmed)
- ½ cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- ½ cup walnuts (roughly crushed)
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper (or red pepper flakes)
- 2 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Start by preparing the sauce. Add the honey, garlic, walnuts, salt and pepper to a small bowl and stir well. I like to zap it in the microwave for 30 seconds to help the honey loosen up.
- Bring a large skillet or fry pan to high heat and add the butter and green beans. Quickly stir fry the beans until they get a bit charred on the edges and are bright green, about 3-4 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and add in the sauce. Stir until the beans are well coated.
Cup of Yum
Notes
- I like when the beans still have a bit of crunch to them for this recipe. If you prefer a softer green bean though, add a splash of water and cook for additional 5 minutes at medium heat until the water is evaporated.
