Honey Garlic Sauce
Add sweet, aromatic flavor to a variety of dishes with this dark and rich Honey-Garlic Sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir to mix the ingredients well.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the water and cornstarch until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. Slowly pour this slurry into the simmering sauce while stirring.
- Continue to cook the sauce, stirring constantly, until it thickens to your desired consistency, usually about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the sauce from heat and allow it to cool slightly before using. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
