Ingredients

For the spiced honey syrup:
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 3- inch cinnamon stick
  • 2 star anise whole
  • 4 allspice berries
For the latte:
  • 2 ounces coffee strongly brewed, Starbucks® Fall Blend Medium Roast
  • 3 teaspoons honey syrup spiced, plus more to taste
  • 4 ounces oat milk warmed and frothed

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. To make the spiced honey syrup, add honey, water and spices to a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring mixture just to a boil, stirring to dissolve the honey. Reduce heat to medium-low and let simmer for 5 minutes. Take the saucepan off the heat and let cook completely. Strain out the spices and pour syrup into a clean container. Store covered in the refrigerator until ready to use.
  2. To make the latte, add coffee to a mug along with honey syrup and oat milk. Taste and add more honey syrup if needed. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • * You can brew the coffee in any coffee maker, using a ratio of 10 grams ground coffee (2 tablespoons) to 150 mL water (about 5 fluid ounces).
  • ** I've got a milk frother at home that warms and froths the milk. If you don't have something like this, you can warm up the oat milk in a small saucepan, and then transfer to high powered blender. Carefully blend (start low, then go high) until frothy.
