Hot Apple Cider Rum Punch
This hot apple cider rum punch blends apple cider with fresh apple and orange slices, ginger, and cinnamon sticks, simmered to meld flavors before adding dark rum. The warm drink combines fruity and spicy notes with warming alcohol, making it suitable for cozy gatherings or cold weather occasions.
Ingredients
- 8 cups apple cider
- 1 apple thinly sliced crosswise
- 1 orange thinly sliced crosswise
- 1 inch ginger thinly sliced, fresh, piece
- 2 cinnamon stick
- 2 cups dark rum
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the apple cider, apple slices, orange slices, ginger slices and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the rum.
Notes
- The apple cider mixture can be kept warm over low heat for up to 2 hours before adding rum and serving.
