Hot Dog Bun Homemade Croutons

Ingredients

  • 4 hot dog buns , day old
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cut hot dog buns into small cubes, about 20 per roll, using a serrated knife. Place into a mix bowl.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder, fine sea salt, dried parsley flakes and ground black pepper over bread cubes. Gently toss using your fingers.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil. Toss again.
  5. Arrange seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  7. Remove and allow to cool slightly before tossing into a salad.
