Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate bar finely chopped
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. To a small saucepan, add the cream, unsalted butter, sugar, and salt. Place over medium heat and cook until the butter is melted and the mixture begins to simmer, stirring frequently.
  2. Simmer for one minute, then reduce the heat to low and add the chocolate; stir well until melted.
  3. Remove the fudge from heat and whisk in the cocoa powder. Return to the heat and cook on low for about 30 seconds while whisking until smooth.
  4. Pour the hot fudge into a bowl to serve, or a jar with a lid to store in the refrigerator.
