Hot Honey Firecrackers Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 2 sleeves saltine crackers (about 80 crackers)
  • 1/2 1/2 cup olive oil or your favorite neutral flavored cooking oil
  • 2 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning mix homemade or storebought
  • 1 1 teaspoon Stone House Seasoning
  • 2 2 tablespoons Hot Honey Recipe homemade or storebought

Instructions

  1. Add saltines to a large mixing bowl or a 1-gallon ziptop bag. Stir together the olive oil, ranch seasoning, stone house seasoning, and hot honey. Pour the mixture over the saltines and turn them to make sure they are well coated. Allow the saltines to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Place the crackers on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 250º F for 15 minutes.

Notes

  • Alabama Firecrackers Recipe. Omit the hot honey and substitute with 2 tablespoons of red pepper flakes.
  • Oyster Firecrackers Recipe. Substitute two packages of oyster crackers for the saltines called for in this recipe.
  • To store. Place into an airtight container and store at room temperature for up to a week.
  • To make ahead. These crackers are the perfect make-ahead snack! Prepare as directed and cool. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
  • To freeze. We do not recommend freezing these crackers as they become soggy and aren't as delicious.
