Ingredients
- 10 ounces (156g) frozen asparagus
- 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
- garlic salt to taste
Instructions
Oven
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C.
- Toss the asparagus with butter or olive oil and garlic salt. Lay the frozen vegetables on a baking tray in a single layer. Feel free to add lemon wedges.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until desired tenderness is reached.

Skillet
- Place frozen vegetables in a large skillet with a lid.
- Add the butter or oil and garlic salt and toss to coat the vegetables.
- Cover with a lid and saute on medium heat and stir occasionally.
- Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until the asparagus is as tender as you like.
Steamed
- Pour about 2 inches (5 cm) of water into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Toss the frozen asparagus with oil or butter and garlic salt until well coated.
- Place the frozen vegetables into a steamer basket (or colander) and place it in the saucepan over the boiling water.
- Cover and steam for about 5 minutes or until the asparagus is soft.
- Remove with tongs and serve.
Boiled
- Bring a pot of water to boil and season with garlic salt (add more to taste).
- Add the veggies, bring back to boil, and boil for 3-5 minutes or until the asparagus has reached desired tenderness.
- Drain and serve.
Air Fryer
- Preheat Air Fryer to 375 degrees F / 190 degrees C.
- Mix frozen asparagus with the olive oil and garlic salt.
- Add to air fryer basket and air fry for about 10 minutes, shaking halfway through.

- Do not thaw before cooking.
- Toss the frozen asparagus with the oil and seasoning to coat the spears well.
- If your spears of frozen asparagus are stuck together in one big clump, run them under cold water just long enough to separate them.
- If you have leftover fresh, raw asparagus, lay the spears on a baking sheet and flash-freeze them for 1-2 hours before transferring them to an airtight container.
- Want crispy asparagus? The best method for crispy asparagus will be to oven roast, skillet cook, or air fry.
